I founded Business Laid Bare after studying Product Design at Stanford, because my forays into the corporate world working for companies like Apple and Nike showed that I’m terrible at following someone else’s cookie-cutter plan, especially when they they weren’t effective.
The systems I had to use at those large companies chafed. They didn’t work well; they were unintuitive; and they didn’t serve the needs of me or my team.
I wanted nothing more than to fix it…but I didn’t have the authority to do that, even though my studies and experiences had given me the exact tools I needed to do just that!
So, I took all the best practices I learned throughout my career to do my own thing.
